Vietnam is next on the list of this deadly monster storm. With a reported 1,200 dead in its wake, super typhoon Haiyan on Saturday headed across the South China Sea to Vietnam after devastating the Philippines, according to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

Flooding and landslides hit the Philippines, and about 4.3 million people there have been affected, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. Flood waters were 10-feet high, and almost 1 million people are in temporary shelters, the Philippine Red Cross said.

Hundreds of thousands of people have already begun evacuating Vietnam’s coastal areas, the country’s major daily newspaper reported.
