In addition we attract a global audience also outside the travel industry on issues relevant to human rights and other international topics.

Mode of Operation

The mode of operation is to distribute news reports and commercial messages by email to a list of opt-in travel trade and media subscribers, and archive the messages for retrieval and reference on the website, and to provide tailor-made PR and marketing solutions for small and medium sized travel and tourism enterprises.

Generating Revenue

eTurboNews earns its revenue from payments for distribution, banner advertising, classified advertising and also from sponsorship support which can be in monetary value or as in-kind (barter) arrangements. eTurboNews also earns income from devising specialised PR and marketing solutions through its eTurbo Communications division.

Juergen Thomas Steinmetz, President and Founder, Haleiwa, Hawaii, USA

Juergen Steinmetz is originally from Germany and resides in Honolulu, Hawaii. Thomas worked within the travel and tourism sector starting his career in Dusseldorf with Hapag Lloyd, Germany’s largest travel company. In the United States Thomas owned and operated outbound tour operating agency UDA and also consulted with marketing company, Bloody Good Stuff on projects, in addition to jointly spearheading the Indonesian Council of Tourism Partners (ICTP) for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia within North America. Thomas brings real world perspective, realism and hands-on experience to our marketing accounts and projects.
