LPTI initiates dialogue to increase tourism between India and Nepal

Le Passage to India, the country’s leading tour operator and recipient of the National Tourism Award (2006–2007), Le Passage to India Tours and Travels Pvt. Ltd, recently visited Nepal as a 12-member delegation.

The visit was initiated to increase the tourism exchange between India and Nepal. The delegation in its dialogue with Ambassador of India H.E. Shri Rakesh Sood, as well as with the Nepal Tourism board, discussed possibilities of business, cultural and tourism exchange between the two countries.

Mr. Sandeep Dayal, Vice President-Marketing – Le Passage to India said, “We are proud to say that LPTI is the largest Indian travel company to promote Nepal. This industry to industry contact will further lead to a greater understanding and association between the two countries. We are looking for regular specialist training and familiarization trips to Nepal. These will be educational trips combined with a mission to enhance the people contact.”

Nepal has always been a favorite tourist spot, and as a result of this, LPTI has handled over 100,000 tourists visiting the country in the last season. As tourism ambassadors of both countries, LPTI is working extremely closely with all stakeholders of the Nepalese tourism industry and is keen to play an instrumental role in building awareness and develop the tourism business in Nepal in tandem with its own objectives.
