Four Australian tourists in Zimbabwe were injured on Sunday after their plane developed engine problems and crashed in Zimbabwe’s Victoria Falls resort town.

A police spokesperson said the three Australians and their German pilot were critically injured when their Cessna plane crashed soon after take-off from Victoria Falls Airport.

He refused to provide names of the injured tourists, saying they were yet to notify their next of kin.

It is believed the plane was traveling from Victoria Falls to nearby Hwange National Parks where it was to pick up more tourists.
