FRANKFURT, Germany – Worldhotels expands its longstanding partnership with TripAdvisor and enables its hotels to display their real time rates and availability on TripAdvisor’s new platform TripConnect – a cost-effective direct online distribution channel. Previously, Worldhotels partnered with TripAdvisor to facilitate Business Listings* for their hotels. The new TripConnect feature is a pay-per-click advertising module and is connected with Worldhotels’ booking engine Resmaster which is powered by the leading CRS provider Trust International. The first of Worldhotels’ almost 500 hotels worldwide to successfully test the new functionality was The Madison Hamburg in Germany.

TripAdvisor’s new service offers hotels the opportunity to display real-time availability and pricing information from their own website alongside rates from other advertisers such as online travel agencies. This means that travellers searching for a hotel on TripAdvisor have the opportunity to click straight through to the hotel’s own booking engine, thereby driving more direct bookings to the hotel. TripConnect is a self-service product, allowing hotels to self-manage their online advertisement campaigns using the programme’s unique bid management platform.

“We have been using TripConnect for more than four months now and our direct bookings have already increased significantly,” explains Thomas Kleinertz, General Manager of The Madison Hamburg. “In our competitive industry, TripConnect is a great and cost-effective resource to increase direct business and reduce third party dependency. We are glad Worldhotels provided us with the connection to this additional distribution channel.”

Worldhotels’ Chief Operating Officer, Geoff Andrew, adds: “We are proud to extend our partnership with TripAdvisor to offer our hotels another valuable tool that will drive qualified traffic to their websites.”
