The airplane landed at Mitchell International Airport at about 11:15 without incident

Online flight trackers say Delta flight 1496 took off from Minneapolis St. Paul at 10:25 a.m., and was redirected at 11:04 a.m., landing at 11:14 a.m. Delta’s website identifies the plane as a Boeing (Douglas) MD-88.

There were 148 passengers along board along with the two pilots and three flight attendants, Modolo said.

The passengers will board a new plane to continue the flight to New York Saturday afternoon, she said.
