Kakamega is located in Western Kenya and has emerged as both a regional commercial centre as well as a focal point for tourists visiting the Kakamega Forest.

Don Smith, CEO of the two airlines, had this to say when making the announcement: ‘The launch of this route reflects the ongoing commitment of both airlines to improving the transport infrastructure in and around Kenya. We are delighted that we can provide a near-daily service to this destination. In addition, with the expansion of the flight network, it marks the transition to the next stage in the development of Fly540. As a result, we are excited about our future prospects and to continuing to enhance passenger choice as the local economies continue to grow’.
