Korean Air, South Korea’s flagship airline, has announced it will increase frequency on its routes to Americas and Southeast Asia.

The carrier will strengthen its routes to the Americas and provide customers with widened flight options. From 24 July to 10 September, the current 17 times a week flights between Seoul/Incheon and Honolulu will be increased to 21 times a week (3 flights per day).

From 26 July to 24 August, the airline will also increase its flights on the Seoul/Incheon-Guam route from 7 times a week to 11 times a week in order to meet the increasing demand on this route. The additional flights will depart from Seoul/Incheon at 21:35 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and arrive Guam at 03:15 the next day. The return flights will depart from Guam at 05:15 and arrive Incheon at 09:05. Additional flights to Guam will be operated by B737 seating 138 passengers.

Moreover, Korean Air will strengthen its reach into the Southeast Asia market by increasing its frequency. During the peak season starting from 23 July to 24 August, flights between Seoul/Incheon and Chiang Mai, Thailand will be increased from 4 times a week to 7 times a week. The flights on the Seoul/Incheon- Nha Trang, Vietnam will be increased from 2 times a week to 4 times a week from 19 July to 10 September and Seoul/Incheon – Kota Kinabalu route will also be increased from 2 times a week to 4 times a week from 28 July to 22 August.

In addition, commencing 28 July, Korean Air will operate daily flights on the Seoul/Incheon-Da Nang route with 3 additional flights. This will allow passengers from the Americas to have easier access to Da Nang, one of the major port cities in Vietnam.
