SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Virgin America today reported its preliminary operational results for June 2014 and the first six months of the year. The airline’s traffic (measured in revenue passenger miles) increased 0.5 percent on capacity (measured in available seat miles) that was 0.9 percent lower than in the same month in 2013.

Load factor was 86.1 percent, up 1.2 points from June 2013. The number of onboard passengers decreased 2.4 percent from the same month last year.
