Qatar Airways announces Hang My Hat social media contest
WASHINGTON, DC - In honor of Qatar Airways' newest destination, Dallas/Fort Worth, the airline has introduced the "Hang My Hat" social media contest.
WASHINGTON, DC – In honor of Qatar Airways’ newest destination, Dallas/Fort Worth, the airline has introduced the “Hang My Hat” social media contest. The contest which will run from July 7 to September 1, 2014, offers the Grand Prize Winner two tickets from Qatar Airways newest gateway to any Qatar Airways’ global destination, onboard the World’s Best Business Class (Skytrax).
Celebrating Qatar Airways’ second Texas destination (Dallas/Fort Worth), the airline is asking U.S. residents to submit an image or video of their favorite cowboy hat, with a creative reference to which of Qatar Airways’ 144 destinations they would most like to “hang their hat.”
Contestants must submit their images via Twitter or Instagram to @QatarAirways using the phrase “#HangMyHat in [destination]”. Entries will be judged for creativity, and to commemorate the airline’s 7th U.S. destination, Qatar Airways will choose seven winners: one Grand Prize Winner and six runners-up.
The Grand Prize Winner will receive two domestic airline tickets to Dallas/Fort Worth to spend one night at the Ritz-Carlton Dallas and attend the Qatar Airways Dallas/Fort Worth Launch Gala on September 23, 2014. The following day, the Grand Prize Winner and guest will travel in Business Class from any of Qatar Airways’ seven (7) U.S. gateways, (JFK, IAD, PHL, ORD, MIA, IAH, DFW) to any destination of their choice on the Qatar Airways’ global network.
Grand Prize Winners, along with six runners-up, will receive their own Stetson® traveling hat, courtesy of Qatar Airways.
