More terror attacks on airports in Pakistan should be expected.

More terror attacks on airports in Pakistan should be expected. Increased travel warnings by the UK and other countries to urge citizens, tourists, and business travelers not to travel to Pakistan are in place.

All of this comes after yesterday’s deadly attack on Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. It was viewed as the largest terror attack ever at an international passenger airport.

Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is claiming responsibility for today’s Karachi Airport attack. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan spokesman Shahidullah Shahid claimed responsibility on behalf of the Taliban organization.

Experts think TTP could attack other small airports in Pakistan including Bahawalpur, Multan, Sukhar, and possibly Islamabad Airport.

The Pakistan Taliban group confirmed, โ€œWe have now relaunched our attacks after failure of talks.โ€

Dispatch News Desk (DND), representing also eTN in Pakistan, was first to break the news that Taliban had attacked Karachi Airport. At that time, the government of Pakistan still denied DND (eTN’s) news coverage and tried to implicate India agencies in the attack.

ETN noticed several twitter messages saying another gunmen is continuing to operate at the Karachi airport after Pakistan authorities claimed an end of the operation and victory hours ago.

Thai Airways International issued a statement saying all passenger on Thai are safe.

According to sources, attackers got support from the airport staff at Karachi International Airport and Commander Abdullah Bahar Mehsud was in contact with several Pathans posted at Karachi Airport.
