Brazilian Tourism Board launches travel guide app
NEW YORK, NY – Traveling is one of the most enjoyable activities.
NEW YORK, NY – Traveling is one of the most enjoyable activities. To make things easier for visitors, The Brazilian Tourism Board (EMBRATUR) and the Ministry of Tourism, launched a new app called Fellow Trip. This new tool will be a “travel partner” for those traveling through Brazil.
“The application does justice to its name, being a traveling companion, giving tips, information, location and delivering a suggestion list according to the user profile, so it can help you make the most of your stay,” explains President of Embratur, Vicente Neto.
The app will serve as an interactive travel guide and enable users to see tips from other people, such as the best restaurants, clubs, hotels, tourist routes and schedules of events. Furthermore, it allows users to share their itineraries with other tourists.
Available in three languages - Portuguese, English and Spanish – the app creates itineraries according to the profile of each user. The app is available for download for handsets with the Android platform first. An iOS version will be available as well in the coming weeks.
“The Fellow Trip app will be a good tool for travelers in Brazil. It can be used from the moment someone begins planning their trip, so that the user may already have an idea of places to visit, find hotels, restaurants, etc. More importantly, the app works even offline,” says EMBRATUR’s marketing director, Sergio Flores.
With an interactive interface, the app was developed in partnership with the travel website TripAdvisor, one of the largest in the world. The portal provided information from their database about hotels, attractions and restaurants.
