The new hotel search engine, hotelicopter, announced today that Trip Davis, co-founder and chairman of TRX, has been appointed non-executive chairman of hotelicopter, effective immediately.
Adam Healey, hotelicopter’s co-founder and CEO, commented: “We’re very excited that Trip has agreed to become our chairman. He is the right person to help move hotelicopter into the next phase of the company’s growth. Charles Seilheimer, hotelicopter’s co-founder, president and CFO added: “Trip has been on our board since the close of our seed financing round two years ago. His familiarity with our business, knowledge of the travel industry, experience building businesses, and relationships with key companies and individuals, makes him the ideal chairman of our company.”

In 2007 and 2002, Business Travel News recognized him as one of the Top 25 influential executives in the travel industry. In 2005, the National Business Travel Association (NBTA) voted Trip its Member of the Year.
Prior to co-founding TRX, Trip was the senior vice president and general manager of the Travel Industry Practice Group at iXL and co-founder and CEO of Green Room Productions, a San Francisco-based Internet travel technology company, which he sold to iXL in February 1998.
Trip earned a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
