BANGKOK, Thailand – Between March and May 2014 newlyweds and honeymooners from around the world were invited to enter the “Dream Honeyteering Contest” online, organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
The contest attracted over 190 couples from 37 countries. In order to win, the contestants selected the Honeyteering trip that they most wished to experience in Thailand and created their personalized Honeyteering blog; then, they worked to get people to view their blog and vote for them by clicking the “HEART” on their blog.
Now the contest is over and TAT would like to congratulate the 4 happy heart couples who received the highest number of views on their blog. These 4 couples are
Milton Rebeiro & Anita Rebeiro from India winner for Samui
Mark Aquino & Caroline Aquino from Philippines winner for Chiang Mai
Nikolay Savintsev & Vera Savintseva from Russia winner for Hua Hin
Thomas Andreasen & Michelle Simonsen from Denmark winner for Phuket
They will now get to experience a unique honeymoon trip along with an opportunity to engage in meaningful activities that contribute to local culture, the environment and education. This is sometimes referred to as Honeyteering: from honeymoon + volunteering.
