SkyWaltz balloon safaris in India get a huge response at travel fairs


SkyWaltz is the first and the only company in India that has been licensed by the government to do ballooning on a commercial basis. The company started operations last year and has successfully flown over 1,500 passengers since then.

The company operates with world-class equipment imported from UK & Spain, and all the pilots employed are from overseas, basically from the US and Europe, with thousands of hours of commercial flying experience.

SkyWaltz announced the plans for the coming tourist season at The Great Indian Travel Bazaar organized by the Government & Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry.

Besides the two operations locations of Jaipur & Ranthambore in Rajasthan, SkyWaltz is also starting balloon safaris in Udaipur w.e.f in October 2009.

In the recent travel fairs in India, they received a huge response and appreciation from the leading travel conglomerates like Kuoni, A&K, Cox & Kings, etc. and have already sold around 1,000 seats for the coming season (September 2009 to March 2010).

SkyWaltz partnered with the Ministry of Tourism and the organizers to take more than 40 key tour operators for FAM flights during the dates of the fairs and received a lot of accolades for the quality of operations that they have set up. The trade is really looking forward to promoting this brand-new, world-class tourism product in India.

The company CEO, Mr. Samit Garg, said in a press interview that SkyWaltz would be operating with a captive capacity of around 6,000 seats for the coming season spread over historic and exotic destinations like Jaipur, Udaipur, Ranthambore, Pushkar. He expects to add Madhya Pradesh to the flying map of the company very soon as the deliberations with the state government are quite in an advanced stage.
