DAMASCUS, Syria – Syrian Prime Minister Wael Al-Halqi on Sunday inaugurated a tourist investment exhibition presenting 24 investment sites for small and medium projects in Syria.

“The government is committed to exerting all efforts to help revitalize the tourist sector as it is working to pave the ground for industrial, agricultural and tourist projects in the reconstruction stage,” Al-Halqi said, the state news agency reported.

The Tourist Investment Forum for small and medium-sized projects kicked off this morning at the Damascus Dama Rose Hotel.

The 2-day forum will present 24 tourist projects ready for investment in several provinces.

In a previous statement to SANA, Director of Projects Department at the Tourism Ministry, Ghiath al-Farah, pointed out that the investment cost of small projects ranged between SYP 10 and 50 million, and the cost of medium projects ranged between SYP 75 and 300 million.
