An annual event for 110 years, the Foire de Paris takes place in the Exhibition Centre Porte de Versailles from April 30 to May 11, 2014. Set in the land of a tropical pavilion, Reunion Island invites visitors to discover its specialties in gastronomy, crafts, products from its local culture, and its tourist offerings.

Foire de Paris offers a journey to different worlds: home and habitat, well-being, fashion and accessories, recreation and life skills, wine and gastronomy, and crafts and cultures of the world.

Exploring the tropical pavilion 5.2 at this event includes discovering no less than 50 countries and regions in the tropics, in addition to Reunion Island: France, Asia, the Americas, and islands of Africa – more than 200 exhibitors from the Caribbean, Indian Ocean, and Pacific Ocean will present the richness of their heritage tourism.

In this hall, the public will discover the tourist offerings and meeting venues at Reunion Island Tourism’s (IRT) of 96 m² booth. Visitors can meet artisans and actors representing Reunion tourism who took the opportunity to present and share their expertise at this event. The culture and traditions of Reunion Island will be honored with the presence of such items as vanilla from Pro Vanilla, massage oils and edible oils from the Agricultural Cooperative Essential Oils of Bourbon (CAHEB), products made with turmeric from the Curcuma House, confectionery from Calicoco, syrups and teas from Nature of Innovation, art objects of tortoise shell from Taboo, local produce from Farm East, and vanilla from Louis Leichnig and Gites de France.

Many tastings and events will also be offered by the company Kouler Gadiamb, and singer and songwriter Joel Manglou will also be on hand. This year’s meeting will open the show on April 30 with a day of colors of the island in which the IRT will offer visitors tastings of local products, during which time the public can enjoy Reunion Island products like vanilla, rum syrup, turmeric, confectionery coconut, and herbal teas.

The goal for Reunion Island at the event is to recreate the festive spirit of the island and strengthen its market awareness in France through various events, concerts, and tastings.

Discover the richness of heritage tourism on Reunion Island in Hall 5.2 at stand E075 from April 30 to May 11, 2014.
