“Addressing Today’s Challenges In Aviation Safety And Security Through Regional Integration, Regulatory Compliance and Stakeholder Participation” is the theme set by the Civil Aviation Safety and Security Oversight Agency for the upcoming 3rd EAC Aviation Symposium which will be held at the Kigali Serena Conference Centre in Kigali on May 9.

The symposium is expected to bring together aviation sector regulators, air operators, and air service providers, inspectors and security experts, air transport policy makers, aviation consultants, and the academia among others and aims at providing an updated picture of the new regulatory framework to be implemented for the aviation industry at large. The outcome of the day-long symposium is expected to provide views and input from aviation stakeholder in the public and private sector with the ultimate goal to smoothly implement the ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, in short SARP’s, as is provided for under the Chicago Convention and the relevant annexes.

The symposium is, therefore, categorized as a “must attend” for regulatory personnel, transport ministry officials, and also the entire range of private sector stakeholders. Registration should be done online via www.cassoa.org where also other information about CASSOA can be accessed.
