On the last day of the International Tourism Bourse (ITB) in Berlin, Germany, the Trinidad and Tobago booth was adjudged the tenth best booth in the category of Caribbean and Latin America. The highly-patronized booth was given this accolade by the Cologne Business School that has been giving this award for the past four years.

The future tourism managers of the business school visited over 11,000 booths and assessed them based on creativity, originality, service quality, sustainability and special effects. Tenth place is regarded as quite an achievement as the entire category of Caribbean and Latin America consists of more than 200 exhibitors. The top three in this category were the Dominican Republic, Peru and Colombia, whilst the “Best of the Best” out of the 11,000 exhibitors was Abu Dhabi in the Middle Eastern category.

Known worldwide for our ingenuity and creativity, this award only serves to confirm the fact that the effort and thought put into the construction and design of the Trinidad and Tobago booth has borne much fruit and can only serve to give momentum to team Trinidad and Tobago’s efforts at next year’s ITB.

Trinidad & Tobago is a member of the International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP) .
