Silk Air launches Singapore-Mandalay flight

YANGON, Myanmar – Singapore-based Silk Air will extend its direct flight to Mandalay, a city in Myanmar’s central region, due to an increasing number of tourists, airline sources Saturday.

YANGON, Myanmar – Singapore-based Silk Air will extend its direct flight to Mandalay, a city in Myanmar’s central region, due to an increasing number of tourists, airline sources Saturday.

The direct flight from Singapore to Mandalay via Yangon, the capital city, will be operated thrice a week as of June this year.

Mandalay International Airport handles flight facilities at the ground station for Bangkok Airline, Indian Airlines and Kunming Airlines of China.

At present, the airport is under renovation in line with the international standard.

There is a total of 24 international airlines flying to Myanmar and seven airlines operating domestically.
