Ten Taiwanese tourists were injured in a traffic accident in Seoul, South Korea Saturday, with one sustaining serious head injury, according to the Tourism Bureau.

Ten Taiwanese tourists were injured in a traffic accident in Seoul, South Korea Saturday, with one sustaining serious head injury, according to the Tourism Bureau.

The seriously injured was a 10-year-old boy, identified as Tseng Hua-ta, who is receiving treatment at a hospital intensive care unit, the bureau said.

Nine other tourists sustained minor injuries, with six having returned to a hotel after receiving treatment at various hospitals, the bureau said.

The remaining three are still staying in hospitals for observation, the bureau added.

The 25-member tour group, organized by Taipei-based Gloria Travel Service Co., departed for South Korea Dec. 12 and is scheduled to return Dec. 16.

The group leader is dealing with matters related with the traffic accident.

Tourism Bureau officials said the accident took place at around noon when the tour bus the group was riding collided with another vehicle, citing initial reports from Seoul.
