Benchmark Hospitality’s Turtle Bay Resort, located on the North Shore of Oahu, has been named to Travel + Leisure magazine’s list of the “Top 25 Hotels in Hawaii” for 2008, as ranked by the publication’s readers.

For the past 13 years, Travel + Leisure magazine has presented the “World’s Best Awards,” asking its approximately 1,000,000 subscribers to select their favorite hotels, spas, airlines, cruise lines, outfitters, cities and islands around the globe. In 2008, the magazine’s readers selected Turtle Bay Resort as a “Top 25 Hotel in Hawaii,” which the resort adds to its growing list of awards.

“We are thrilled with this designation,” said Bob Boyle, Benchmark Hospitality’s vice president and general manager at Turtle Bay Resort. “We’ve received many awards in the past six years following Benchmark’s $60 million renovation of our resort. All of them are very special to us. We are honored to be included in Travel + Leisure’s ‘Top 25 Hotels in Hawaii’ list for 2008.”

Last year, Turtle Bay Resort was named among Conde Nast Traveler’s “Top 20 Hawaii Resorts.” The property also received two Gold awards from Meetings & Conventions magazine, along with several other industry awards.

Benchmark Hospitality, which operates 30 hotels, resorts and personal luxury properties throughout the United States, in Japan and Panama, has managed Turtle Bay Resort since 2001 for resort owner, Kuilima Resort Company, a subsidiary of Oaktree Capital. Benchmark oversaw the comprehensive repositioning of the resort to one of the finest properties in Hawaii.
