Earlier in the week, Kenya’s Tourism Minister Najib Balala, the CEO of Kenya Airways Mbuvi Ngunze, the Acting CEO of the Kenya Tourism Board Mrs. Jacinta Nzioka-Mbithi, and other officials witnessed the naming of one of the airline’s Boeing B787 Dreamliners as โMagical Kenya,โ carrying the brand name of Kenya tourism across the world.
The aircraft later that day then took off via Bangkok to Hong Kong and will now advertise the brand on all her journeys.
Meanwhile, the airline has recruited a new Chief Operating Officer, the position Mbuvi Ngunze incidentally held before he was appointed CEO.
Dutch national Jan de Vegt will take over from Yves Guibert who will leave the airline at the end of this month. While coming from Cobalt Ground Solutions where he worked as Managing Director, Jan has extensive airline experience when he was at KLM and Martinair.
