MARMUGAO, Goa, India – One of the world’s biggest cruise liner the Royal Caribbean International ‘s “Mariner of the Seas”, arrived at Mormugao Port, Goa from Dubai on 24th May, 2013 and was greeted by the Deputy Chief Minister of Goa, Mr Francisco D’Souza .

A traditional reception with Goan music and dance was organized by the Goa Tourism, Government of Goa to welcome the passengers.  The passengers were also given memorabilia by the Goa Tourism while they disembarked from the ship to tour Goa.

Tourism Minister of Goa, Mr Dilip Parulekar said, “We welcome this cruise and we will work on bringing-in more cruises and tourist in Goa.”

Capt. Rajesh Saigal, Senior General Manager of JM Baxi and Company, which manages the logistics of this cruise in India said, “There are 2947 passengers from different countries and about 1197 crew members with 1500 cabins in this 311-meter long ship.”
