(eTN) – For the past 15 years and after attending the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), I used to relax for couple of nights in Dubai to do some shopping and swimming, have some good food, and to sleep well. This year, I chose to stay at Centro Barsha by Rotana.
Why was the three-star Centro Barsha my choice? Simply because I had already stayed at Centro Capital Center in Abu Dhabi during GIBTM 2013 and really felt that if I’m staying in a five-star hotel, it was natural to expect that everything would be excellent. Here, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and the interiors very modern and cozy.
So, I visited the Rotana stand at ATM and met with Ms. Cristina Sandu, the Business Development Manager at Centro Barsha, who gave me information about the hotel and showed me some impressive photography of the interior. The helpful brochure she provided me with accurately mentioned the convenient location of the hotel, which is of great importance when you only have two days in a city such as Dubai. Centro Barsha is located in Al Barsha 1, right next to the Mall of the Emirates and within a 5-minute walk from Saraf DG metro station.
Cristina’s warm welcome and friendliness won me over, and I booked my two nights at Centro Barsha, which proved to be the right choice. The hotel has a total of 243 rooms in 3 types – classic room, classic studio, and one-bedroom suite – which are at very reasonable rates compared to the high-quality hospitality offering of the Centro brand and the competition in the area. My room was bright, spacious, and decorated with contemporary furniture, which matched the crisp design. I really enjoyed sleeping in the comfortable bed until noontime, and after having a cup of coffee from the complimentary amenities available in the room, I headed to the rooftop pool where I enjoyed my day with a refreshing swim in the clean and cool waters.
In the afternoon, I went downstairs to explore the rest of the facilities, and the atrium area was quite busy at that time with guests enjoying late lunch and coffee from c.taste, the all-day dining restaurant. C.mondo bar was also full with guests, relaxing after their visit to ATM and catching up. I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff, who quickly responded to my request to see the meeting rooms, which are modern and fully-equipped for meetings and seminars for up to 25 people.
The hotel also features a 24-hour gym and a 24-hour deli shop with a good variety of fresh snacks and beverages, and also with additional room amenities available to purchase if you wish.
I’m a budget traveler, and I believe that most of travelers are also looking for reasonably-priced hotels. Centro Barsha is a modern, stylish, and affordable lifestyle business hotel in a great location, with very friendly and attentive staff – a great choice for the budget conscious traveler. I definitely recommend it.
