GENEVA – IH&RA is proud to announce that Vijay Dandapani has been promoted to be the president of Apple Core Hotels. Vijay Dandapani is the president of the leading collection of midtown Manhattan hotels. In this new position, Dandapani will continue to oversee the operations, growth, and brand direction of Apple Core Hotels as the company continues to provide outstanding service and value to travelers.
A member of the Apple Core team since August 1993, Vijay Dandapani was a very important key player in the company’s growth and development, including acquisitions, numerous hotel renovations, and the development of in-house distribution systems.

Prior to joining Apple Core Hotels, Vijay held key operational positions with a number of high-profile hospitality organizations, including Chatwal Hotels and Grand Champions Resorts Corporation. A hotel industry veteran, Vijay – in addition to being a member of the board of the Hotel Association of New York City, that the actual president Mr. Joseph Spinnato is also vice president for Hotels at IH&RA – is also a member of the board of directors for the following associations: NYC & Company, NYSHTA (New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association), and the International Hotel Motel & Restaurant Show at Javits. Vijay Dandapani has been recognized by Crain’s New York Business as one of the top 100 minority business leaders in New York City.
