Seychelles President James Michel has extended his most sincere condolences to the people and government of the United States of America following the tragic explosions that took place in Boston yesterday.

In a letter addressed to President Barack Obama, President Michel expressed the distress and solidarity of the people and government of Seychelles:

โ€œIt is with profound sorrow that we have learnt of the tragic bomb explosions at the Boston Marathon, during one of the most unifying of sporting events, which caused the loss of precious lives and left many injured.โ€

The President added that the Seychelles government strongly condemns such criminal acts, and offered his deepest sympathies to the families of those affected.

Seychelles is a founding member of the International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP).
