A light jet aircraft that had landed at Thomson-McDuffie Regional Airport in Thomson, Georgia, ran off the end of the runway and crashed, leaving 5 people deade and 2 injured. This is according to Kathleen Bergen, a Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman, reporting to CNN.

The small Hawker Beechcraft 390/Premier I aircraft took off from John C. Tune Airport in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday evening, connecting to Thomson-McDuffie Regional Airport in Georgia 350 miles away.

Sheriff Logan Marshall of McDuffie County stated that the two survivors had been rushed to a nearby hospital.
