DENPASAR, Indonesia – Sky Airline Aviation this year will start operating five Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft and will be based in Makassar, and Denpasar serving eastern part.

“The first Sukhoi aircraft will arrive in mid-January, we expect to begin operations in February which will connect the cities of Makassar to Sorong and Jayapura Papua.

The airline has signed the Shipping and Receiving, upon completion of the technical acceptance procedures, the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company for the first Sukhoi jet Ulianovsk, Russia, on December 29, 2012.

This document confirms that the Sukhoi aircraft will be transferred to the Aviation Sky with its required operational and maintenance documentation as well the flight kit along.

Sukhoi Superjet 100 will be suitable for the short runway, allowing the airline to spread its wings to more cities across the country.

Not many cities in Indonesia have a long runway and the plane was able to land on short runways of 2,000 meters. This helps us to serve the second and third tier cities.
