In December, the friendly customer service representatives at Frankfurt Airport get help from Santa. Dressed all in red with a long white beard, he stomps through both richly-decorated terminals and surprises passengers and visitors of all ages with tasty cinnamon stars. The airport has had about 200,000 of the delicious treats baked.
During the pre-Christmas season, Frankfurt Airport will also feature premium musical entertainment: on December 15, travelers can listen to the Frankfurt Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra in Terminal 1 (Departures A and B). Two groups of eight musicians will delight everyone with heavenly sounds at the gates and in cafes and restaurants. And on December 13, the Lufthansa choir โAngels on Airโ will perform in the transit zone of Terminal 1.
Nor has Frankfurt Airport forgotten all the children who will be taking off to spend the Christmas holidays in warmer climes. On December 21 and 22, entertainers will help shorten their wait in the transit areas with glitter tattoos, games, arts & crafts, and painting.
The โHappy Momentsโ during the pre-Christmas season are part of the โGreat to have you here!โ service program that Frankfurt Airport launched to introduce a wide range of improvements designed to make it even more comfortable and convenient to fly in and out of Germanyโs largest airport. In 2011, Frankfurt Airport welcomed more than 56 million passengers.
