LONDON, England – With forecasters predicting yet another record year of snowfall for the 2013 season, leading ski breaks specialists Neilson have selected their picks of the hippest and most luxurious resorts for enjoying a ski getaway to remember this year.

Courchevel, France

Courchevel 1850 is France’s most exclusive resort and has long been the flagship for exclusive European ski holidays. A true foodie heaven, not only does the resort boast two Michelin starred restaurants – La Bateau Ivre and The Chabichou Hotel – but also the legendary Le Cap Horn, which is the place to see and be seen by Europe’s elite. The best time for ski holidays to Courchevel is during March, a great time to catch the sun on one of the many beautiful restaurant decks scattered across the resort. Those who’d rather catch a Russian oligarch however, should visit during the New Year period, when the rich and famous are helicoptered in to party as hard as they ski.

Les Deux Alpes, France

France’s second oldest ski-resort after Chamonix, this amazing location will soon become a byword for luxury thanks to Neilson’s new partnership with top chef Chris Coubrough, owner of Flying Kiwi Inns. Our latest in a line of catered ski chalets at Les Deux Alpes, the 4* Chalet Chartreuse, boasts everything the discerning ski-party can ask for. Staffed by experienced professional chefs and a top-notch front of house team, every whim is catered for to ensure you enjoy your ski-holiday in style.

St Moritz, Switzerland

Switzerland is famous for its chocolate box, picture perfect-style resorts, but its most exclusive resort is in a different league altogether. Dubbed the ‘king of bling’, the incomparable St Moritz (situated in the Graubรผnden region) plays host every year to the fun-seeking elite who visit to take their chances on the infamous Cresta Toboggan Run, race their horses on the frozen lake, or even to try their hand at skijoring (skiing dragged behind horses on the lake at high speeds). The aprรจs ski here is also legendary – with more champagne consumed per visitor than any other resort each season.

Whistler, Canada

One of the strongest contenders for the title of ‘World’s Greatest Ski Resort’, Whistler attracts the international jet-set crowd to ski its two unparalleled mountains and to experience the legendary Canadian hospitality. Heli-skiing is also a very popular pastime here, but must be booked early to avoid disappointment. Whistler is also home to some of the finest bowl skiing on the planet.

Once the sun finally goes down and the skis are packed away, chances are visitors will spot more than one Hollywood star, with the likes of Tom Cruise, Hugh Jackman and Heidi Klum returning year after year.
