Jet Airways voted one of the world’s best airlines

Jet Airways, Asia’s fastest-growing premier airline, has been recognized for the excellence and quality of its service and in-flight experience by readers of Which? magazine.

The second annual Which? Awards, held at the British Museum in London on June 17, 2008, included for the first time a category recognizing airlines that have achieved high customer satisfaction scores for each aspect of its service, including cabin staff, pre-flight service, cleanliness, comfort, food and value for money.

The Which? Best Airline consumer survey was completed by 30,000 Which? members who stringently assessed 71 airlines based on their own experiences. Jet Airways achieved a total satisfaction rating of 84%, a point behind Singapore Airlines with 85% and ahead of Air New Zealand which scored 80%.

Jet, which flies daily from London Heathrow to Delhi, Mumbai and Amritsar, operates one of the youngest fleets in the skies and scored maximum marks for its exceptional onboard catering (supplied by Kensington’s Bombay Brasserie restaurant), in-flight entertainment, cleanliness, comfort and value for money.

Jet Airways General Manager for UK & Ireland, Duncan Gambrill, commented, “Jet Airways has served the UK for just two years and only launched its new cabin products last year, including our lie-flat premiere [business] seats and private first class suites. So this is a massive achievement, especially against other long-established airlines.

“We are delighted to be recognized in this way. It is testament to our belief that Jet is India’s premier airline, and is a massive boost towards achieving our goal to be one of the World’s top five airlines by 2012,” Gambrill continued.

With the acquisition of JetLite, Jet Airways now has a combined fleet strength of 108 aircraft and offers customers a schedule of over 525 flights daily. The airline currently offers four daily services from London Heathrow to India – a morning and evening flight to Mumbai and daily flights to Delhi and Amritsar – connecting passengers to 62 additional destinations within India and beyond.
