Bahrain to boost domestic food production

Citing food security concerns, Bahrain will promote the role of small farmers and local business to boost domestic food production and build Bahrain’s domestic agriculture industry.

Based on Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, a plan to foster sustainable development and market growth, private business will play a critical role in bolstering Bahrain’s economy.

Specifically, the Ministry of Municipalities and Urban Planning hopes to aid increased production of private fisheries, agriculture producers and poultry farms.
