CHICAGO, IL – Orbitz Worldwide announced today that Jim Shaughnessy will assume the role of senior vice president and chief administrative officer.
Jim Shaughnessy joined Orbitz Worldwide as senior vice president and general counsel prior to the company going public in July 2007.
In his new role, he will continue to manage the company’s legal and government affairs teams. Additionally, he will lead the company’s shared services, which include corporate communications, human resources, and security and compliance.

Jim Shaughnessy has more than 25 years of experience as a strategic executive. Prior to joining Orbitz Worldwide, he has managed legal matters for leading technology companies, including Lenovo Group, Ltd.; Peoplesoft; Hewlett Packard; and Compaq.

Jim earned his master of public policy and Juris Doctor, cum laude from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude from Northern Michigan University.
