MIAMI – For the seventh time LAN Airlines is chosen Best Airline in Central/South America and the Caribbean by the Official Airline Guide (OAG). This guide is the well-recognized leader around the world for information in air travel.
The OAG established this series of awards in 1982 with the purpose of highlighting the achievements of international airlines and airports that excel in customer service largely due to the vast gamut of products and services offered. These distinctions result from the votes of business travelers from all over the world who are also OAG subscribers. These subscribers ultimately choose the best companies on an international level.
Armando Valdivieso, CEO for LAN’s passenger division stated, “It is a true honor to once again receive this important award and even more so because it reflects the opinion of worldwide frequent business travelers. We will always remain committed and offer our passengers an excellent travel experience with the highest security standards that have come to represent LAN internationally.”
OAG awards were also granted to:
Best Airline of the Year – Singapore Airlines
Best Airline in Australia/Asia/Pacific – Qantas
Best Airline in North America – Continental Airlines
