Chapelco will invest in snow
Nieves del Chapelco will invest €2.5 million in its ski resort infrastructure for this winter season. They emphasized that the efforts were focused on the purchase of two new ski lifts, three snow ploughs and infrastructure and slope improvements.

Neuquen has its first 5-star hotel
With an investment of US$30 million, the Casino Magic group inaugurated the first five-star hotel in the city of Neuquen. The Casino Magic Hotel has 31 rooms and is part of the gaming rooms’ complex located on route 22. Casino Magic has been granted the casino in the city of Neuquen until 2016.
Valle Nevado launches master plan for more than US$ 100 million
Valle Nevado announced a medium term US$120 million plan that includes the launching of the “Pueblo de Montana.” The plan provides for the construction of at least one building per year for the next 15 years. The company anticipates an investment of US$22 million for the next five years and US$15 million more for the following five years.
LAN completes renovation of short-range fleet

TAM receives authorization to fly to Lima
TAM announced that it received authorization from the National Agency of Civil Aviation (ANAC) to begin offering daily flights to Lima. The frequency will begin operating on October 17th, departing from the Sao Paulo international airport to the Jorge Chavez terminal in Lima.
Arrival of foreign tourists increased by 12.3% in first quarter
In the first quarter of this year, Peru registered 502,942 arrivals of foreign tourists through the country’s borders, according to information provided by the General Directorate of Immigration and Naturalization (DIGEMIN) and analyzed by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.
Inti Raymi will be translated into English, French and Spanish
For the first time, the Inti Raymi ceremony will be simultaneously translated into English, French and Spanish. According to a study carried out by the historian Paolo Greer, the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu was discovered by the German Augusto Berns 44 years before the North American explorer Hiram Bingham arrived in the area (in 1911).
LAN Peru will increase flights from Trujillo to the city of Tumbes
The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) informed that the airline Lan Peru announced its decision to operate flights to Tumbes. The flights will begin next June 25th and will be carried out as an extension of the flight that Lan Peru’s aircraft currently make to Trujillo.
Cruz del Sur new routes

Galapagos registers new eruption from the Cerro Azul volcano
The Geophysical Institute (IG) of the National Polytechnic School in Quito informed yesterday that the Cerro Azul volcano, located on Isabela Island, has once again started to erupt. The volcano became active and produced new lava flows, which were detected in images via satellite. Authorities of the Galapagos National Park (PNG) flew over the area to evaluate the intensity of the new eruption.

Air Dominicana obtains authorization to fly
