Air Astana introduced a fourth weekly frequency between Almaty and Tblisi, capital of Georgia operated by Embraer 190 on 19th June 2012.

Air Astana introduced a fourth weekly frequency between Almaty and Tblisi, capital of Georgia operated by Embraer 190 on 19th June 2012. The airline launched direct services on the route on 2nd June 2011, with flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and the additional service now operating on Tuesdays.

“Within a short period of time, the Almaty-Tblisi flight has become very popular amongst our passengers, with strong growth in traffic over the past 12 months. Georgia is one of the most attractive leisure destinations for citizens of Kazakhstan and other CIS countries; attracted by its unique architecture, beautiful scenery, delicious cuisine and sightseeing in the pearl of Caucasus,โ€ said Ibrahim Canliel, Vice President Marketing and Sales, Air Astana.
