RETOSA Board to meet in Seychelles during Routes Africa 2012

It has been confirmed by the RETOSA Secretariat that the Board of SADC’s Tourism Body, RETOSA, will be meeting in Seychelles from July 6-13, 2012.

RETOSA is the tourism body for Southern Africa countries and their 49th Board Meeting will coincide with the Routes Africa 2012 conference also taking place at the same time in the Seychelles.

Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism, has welcomed the confirmation saying that as Africa aviation and world aviation, with an eye on Africa, descends on Seychelles for Routes Africa 2012, it is fitting to see SADC’s Southern Africa Tourism Organization also meet in Seychelles at the same time.

“Networking among African tourism ministers attending Routes Africa 2012 and sideline meetings between the ministers and airlines, and airport authorities, is a golden opportunity for all. The Seychelles meeting will provide an important opportunity for governments, and tourism and airline industry professionals, to meet.

The Airlines Association of Southern Africa is also heading to Seychelles to be part of Routes Africa 2012. This will bring a new dimension to the airline and aviation meeting as they remain focused on the development of airlines. The RETOSA Board Meeting also already provides for members to attend Routes Africa 2012 from July 8-10 in Seychelles.
