(eTN) – Just a month to go, the Africa Travel Association (ATA) released a registration plan for this year’s Annual Congress to be held in Zimbabwe next month.

The ATA’s 37th Annual World Congress organizers issued a registration plan for participants looking to take part in Africa’s highest-ranking travel gathering, setting US$400 as a participation fee for ATA members at the early bird registration fee with a deadline set at the end of this month.

For ATA members who register after the deadline, they will pay a participation fee of US$500 each, while non-members of the association have to register their participation with US$600 each.

The ATA’s 37th Annual World Congress in Zimbabwe is set for May 18 to 22 in one of the world’s top natural wonders, Victoria Falls, the adventure capital of Southern Africa.

Africa Travel Association’s hallmark event on the African continent will be hosted by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) under the auspices of Zimbabwean Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Walter Mzembi, with a theme of “Africa Tourism: Partnering for the Future.”

Zimbabwe is home to a diverse range of tourist attractions, including its own seven wonders made up of the Zimbabwean people and culture, history and heritage, the Great Zimbabwe, the fabulous Victoria Falls, African wildlife and nature, Eastern Highlands, and Lake Kariba.

Over 300 participants are expected to attend the ATA’s Annual World Congress (conference); among them are tourism ministers and industry experts representing tourism boards, tour operators, and their product development executives.

Others are front-line agents, ground operator companies, airlines, and hotels. Participants from the travel trade media and the corporate, nonprofit, and academic sectors are also expected to attend, along with African Diaspora representatives.

Students and young professionals from around the world have been invited to participate in ATA Young Professionals.

The ATA International Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 18, with sessions focusing on Destination Zimbabwe, taking place on Saturday, May 19, followed by an opening ceremony with cultural entertainment.

South African Airways is the official sponsor and airline for this year’s ATA World Congress in Zimbabwe. The airline has committed to offer special discount package for delegates traveling from the different parts of the world.
