Caribbean Airlines to launch Gatwick-Trinidad service

WEST SUSSEX, England – New non-stop services between Gatwick and Trinidad will commence 14 June 2012. Gatwick continues to win new airlines and routes as a result of its ongoing multimillion pound investment programme.

Gatwick Airport announced today that Caribbean Airlines will launch non-stop flights between Gatwick and Piarco International Airport, Port of Spain, Trinidad, four times a week. The airline will operate the route beginning 14 June 2012, with tickets now on sale. Additionally, a three weekly flight schedule will provide one-stop services via Barbados from 16 June 2012.

Caribbean Airlines will operate the services on Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with state-of-the-art cabins, including in-seat power and video as well as flatbed business class seats.

Trinidad’s natural resources of oil and gas make it an important business destination, with numerous world-leading corporations now based on the island. Trinidad is also celebrated for its vibrant culture and world-renowned festivals.

Gatwick has recently attracted Icelandair, Korean Air, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, Vietnam Airlines, Hong Kong Airlines and Air China through its commitment to becoming London’s airport of choice.
