The spectacular beauty of the Seychelles is known right across the world. The white sandy beaches of the Seychelles are the most sought-after for dream tropical holidays, and it is not surprising to see The Times of London carry a title for a main article using Seychelles as the main benchmark for what is expected for the best in secret beaches destination.

The Times of March 10 in their Travel Section carries a lead feature entitled: Secret beaches – The Seychelles? Mauritius? Hawaii? No, it’s Japan. The feature was an invitation to explore Okinawa. The article did justice to Japan, as a destination repositioning itself one year after the devastating earthquake.

The Seychelles Ministry of Tourism and Culture did not fail to appreciate the lead destination in the question by Stephanie Marsh as she catches the attention of readers. “She was right to use the Seychelles as the lead tourist destination, as it was bound to attract attention. Just the word Seychelles makes people dream; it brings out the best in expectations for a tropical holiday setting,” Alain St.Ange, the newly-appointed Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture said as he met the press in London on his way back from ITB in Berlin.
