Seychelles team declares ITB a great success

The Seychelles delegation at ITB 2012 said they are happy with the ever-growing interest for their islands from Germany and from Europe.

The Seychelles delegation at ITB 2012 said they are happy with the ever-growing interest for their islands from Germany and from Europe. The delegation is this year headed by Alain St.Ange, the newly-appointed Seychelles Minister for Tourism & Culture, and by Elsia Grandcourt, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board. They are accompanied at ITB 2012 in Berlin by Bernadette Willemin, the Board’s Director for Europe; Edith Hunzinger, the Seychelles Manager for Germany, Austria & Switzerland; Christine Vel, the Seychelles Tourism Attachรฉ to the UK; and Sue Schneider, from the Seychelles Germany Office.

Elsia Grandcourt said in Berlin that the Seychelles stand at ITB was busy and everyone was working as a team for the benefit of Seychelles. โ€œWe put a picture at our stand that depicted our lovely country, and the stand stood out as a great venue for ITB meetings for our private sector partners wanting to continue to develop the German and European Markets,โ€ said Elsia.

The Tourism Board also held important meetings with Maldives, Mauritius, Kenya and La Reunion Tourism and with different airlines flying to Seychelles.
