American Airlines announces extra Miami-Jamaica flights

MIAMI, Fla.

MIAMI, Fla. – American Airlines announced today it will add an additional daily nonstop flight between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica (KIN), for the summer season. The flight will operate between April 4 and Aug. 20, 2012, bringing the total number of daily nonstop flights between Miami and Kingston to four during the summer season. The new service will be operated with a 160-seat Boeing 737 aircraft.

“With its beautiful scenery and rich culture, Kingston is a very popular destination, especially in the summer months,” said Peter Dolara, American’s Senior Vice President for Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America. “We are pleased to offer our customers more options for their travel to and from Jamaica this season with the addition of a fourth daily service between Kingston and Miami.”

In addition to this seasonal flight, American offers three daily round trips between Miami and Kingston year-round. American also serves Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ), from Miami, Dallas/Ft, Worth (DFW) and Chicago (ORD).

From Miami, American and its regional affiliate, American Eagle, serve 110 destinations with more than 300 daily flights.
