BERLIN, Germany – Starting Monday, 6th February 2012, airberlin will fly once daily to the Hungarian capital. The aircraft will take-off from Berlin at 12:45 and land in Budapest at 14:20. The return flight departs at 15:00 and arrives in Berlin at 16:35.

With this new offer, airberlin is reacting to codesharing partner Malevโ€™s exit from the market. The Hungarian airline announced on Friday that it was ending its flight operations. Stranded Malev passengers have the opportunity to transfer their tickets to airberlin for โ‚ฌ49 one-way by the coming Wednesday.

With the new offer, airberlin is integrating the Berlin-Budapest connection into the hub structure at Berlin, which allows for numerous connection possibilities throughout Germany and Europe with Germanyโ€™s second largest airline.
