Island tourism serves as backdrop for Dubai Kartdrome Race

The Seychelles Racing team took 2nd place at what is known as one of the world’s premier leisure carting – the fourth and final Endurance Championship – which took place at the Dubai Kartdrome.

The Seychelles Racing team took 2nd place at what is known as one of the world’s premier leisure carting – the fourth and final Endurance Championship – which took place at the Dubai Kartdrome.

The Seychelles team also won first place for newcomers.

The Seychelles Racing team comprises team manager Mike King Harman; driver captain Andy Soucek; and drivers Andy Soucek, Fabienne Lanz, Santiago Porteiro, and Felix Porteiro, along with Victor Garcia.

This year, Seychelles also had a 2nd team, Four Degrees South, that had a strong lineup with team manager Mike King Harman; driver captain Jon Baker; and drivers Geoff Stephen, Charles King Harman, Jasper King Harman, and Mike King Harman.

The tough competition had two categories – the Corporate category featuring the likes of CG Racing, MBC Action, and Publicis Groupe Racing. The three teams could mix up with the pro team, while they battled for the top place in their own category.

Seychelles Racing, along with the Forza RS Russia, Forza Karting Ukraine, Ukrainian Kozaks, and CER Karting Forza Stars heads the International Contingents category.

The Seychelles islands was visible throughout the entire events with three large banners including a Seychelles “Carnaval International de Victoria” promotional banner adorning the track. The Racing team had drivers with F1, F2, GP2, WTCC, and Nissan 2000, and Indy Lights experience had their kart “www.seychelles.com” printed on the side pods and the “Carnival International de Victoria” 2012 sticker on the rear.

Spectators and fans of carting could also view full-page adverts for the “Carnaval International de Victoria 2012,” Seychelles islands and the Eden Island Marina in the Race official program.

Numerous “Carnaval International de Victoria” posters could also be found around the track facilities.

The Seychelles team had the backing of its sponsors by its faithful partners: Eden Island Marina, Hunt, Deltel & Co. Ltd., and DHL.
