The Seychelles Tourism Board is pulling out all the stops to find the next Miss Seychelles who is set to become the face of the tourism destination for 2012.

A team of four young Seychellois ladies, sporting a red dress, a tiara, and a pageant-style sash reading “Looking for Miss Seychelles 2012,” have planned to be in front of the Victoria Post Office in the Seychelles on Saturday, December 17, 2011. Their aim is to get the Seychellois public involved in the process of making this national event the success it deserves to be and to get the best young lady from the Creole Islands to become that face of Seychelles.

The team from the “Miss Seychelles…another world 2012” pageant will have entry forms and entry criteria at the ready; however, their equally-important objective is to engage with people who are interested to know more about the “Miss Seychelles…another world” pageant. They will be able to shed light on plans for the six-month training program leading up to the pageant, as well as on the role of the crowned “Miss Seychelles…another world.”

Shoppers in Victoria, the capital of the Seychelles, will be invited to take a picture on a pageant-style thrown, wearing the statement sash and tiara, in souvenir of the pre-pageant build-up.

The deadline for entry into the “Miss Seychelles…another world” pageant is on Monday, January 16, 2012, just one month away, and many are impatient to know the identity of the 12 beautiful and promising young Seychellois women who are to embark on the rollercoaster journey of “Miss Seychelles…another world.”
