An American Airlines flight made a safe emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday night after the crew smelled something burning in the cockpit, officials said.
The Boeing 767 took off from the airport and was headed to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport when it turned back, said Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Allen Kenitzer.
