The Seychelles delegation attending the all-important aviation and airlines ROUTES Conference 2011 has arrived in Berlin, Germany. The conference, with some 2,500 delegates coming from the 4 corners of the world, are descending on Berlin to discuss and to hear about the developments in airline routes and about developments in airports and the different strategies being implemented by governments around the world.

The Seychelles delegation is comprised of representatives from the Seychelles Tourism Board, headed by Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the island’s Tourism Board, who is being accompanied by Conrad Benoiton, a Director of the Tourism Board and himself a former CEO of the island’s National Airline, Air Seychelles, and of the Civil Aviation Authority; Elsia Grandcourt, the Deputy CEO of the Tourism Board; and Glynn Burridge, the Board’s Consultant and Copywriter.

A second Seychelles delegation at ROUTES 2011 is headed by Gilbert Faure, the CEO of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority, who is being accompanied by Florence Marengo.

Seychelles is a member of the International Council of Tourism Partners (ICTP) and met with ICTP Chairman and eTN Publisher Juergen Thomas Steinmetz on Saturday in Berlin.

Seychelles will be honored at this year’s ROUTES Conference, as Alain St.Ange, the head of the country’s tourism board, will chair one of the meetings alongside the heads of tourism from Spain and Malta. Alain St.Ange is listed on the ROUTE 2011 program as a speaker of the conference.

“This will bring increased visibility for Seychelles, a country that depends on its tourism as the pillar of its economy. It is rewarding for Seychelles to see its efforts in the field of tourism promotion so recognized to the extent that it is now being called upon to address such an important international conference,” said Mr. St.Ange.

The visibility of the Seychelles during the last couple of years has made everyone realise that the dreamy tropical islands have awaken and taken the world by storm.

Credit must go to Alain St.Ange, who has become a regular guest speaker at international tourism forums and who spares no effort to bring out the unique selling points of the Seychelles. Press across the world enjoys interviewing Alain St.Ange for his straight-forward approach and for the island charm that comes with him.
