The annual French Tourism Trade Fair, Top Resa, has opened its doors in Paris for its 2011 edition, and the first day, set out for tourism professionals only, has proved to be a busy day. The French Minister responsible for tourism toured the fair in the afternoon of the first day of Top Resa and stopped at many of the exhibitors’ stands.

Seychelles is one of the many regular exhibitors who descends on Paris for this annual tourism fair. “It is important for us to be here, as Top Resa remains a major tourism fair on the calender of the tourism industry. We depend on tourism, and we promote a sustainable tourism industry. We need to be here to tell the world what we are promoting. France remains the most important market for Seychelles and by being here we are fighting for our fair share of this important market,” said Alain St.Ange, CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, on the opening day of Top Resa 2011. Top Resa 2011 will run until Thursday, September 22.
