The agency behind the “Where the bloody hell are you?” ads, M&C Saatchi, has been knocked out of the race to retain the creative advertising account for Tourism Australia, which is expected to announce a shortlist of two agencies today. Confirming the news, M&C Saatchi’s Asia Pacific & US executive chairman, Tom Dery, said: “We are proud of the work we’ve done and we join a long line of Tourism Australia incumbents that are not reappointed.”

Last week Clemenger BBDO pulled out, leaving Publicis Mojo, Saatchi & Saatchi, Singleton Ogilvy & Mather, and Whybin TBWA. MPG and the incumbent, Carat, are fighting for the media planning and buying portion of the account.
